I remember when I booked the course I was told something about "learner guide" but I imagined it was about some odd print with few instruction, but you give a good hope it was actually about this book.

The exam succes book may lead you astray as the questions are subtler in the exam than those given in the book. EAL is open book and C&G is closed book which means on C&G you have to actually know the answers, not look them up. For that reason employers will always prefer C&G. Its all electronic now.

Rubbish have you done the eal exam you still need to have an understanding of testing and inspecting. The course is delivered the same as the c&g.
