Monkey Nuts

hi all
i have a bit of work to do for a friend at some point in the near future.
i'm a bit concerned (not looked) that the cables might be a bit short to do what is required.
what is the best method of sorting this issue out ?
just want to be prepared for the worst
e.g. as it is to be enclosed, would using a 20amp "chocolate block" style connector be within the regs ?
thanks for your help
chris

What accessories are we talking about Chris?

at the moment there is a single socket in the wall that is to be replaced with a double socket on the wall (over the top of the original one).
also, there is a double socket on the wall that is to be blanked off and the wiring extended to 2 new on wall double sockets.

What tests are you going to perform before and after these modifications?

Just use a clipsal converta. single to double. Neater than putting a pattress over the single socket and most likely won't need to extend wiring.

If you need to extend then wagos are the way to go.

Take a look at the minor works cert. Those are the tests you should run.

Before you touch it its probably best to do those tests as well. Better to discover issues before you do the work than after.

what would you suggest ?
got the equipment to test, but still working out how to "drive" the tester :)

Could you just clarify what this "DEI" qualification is, if you would be so kind?
