Hi,
I am thinking about buying a megger 1552 MFT which is described as not working. It turns on and self tests but no tests can be performed, but I don't have any more info until I see it next week. My questions are...Has anyone had a similar problem, and does anywhere do a fixed fee repair service? If I can work out how much to repair then it could be a nice little buy. Many thanks. Tim

I bought one from eBay and it didn't work as the seller described. I complained to him and he gave me some money back but I noticed that Megger had an extended warranty on their website so I registered it for this and then sent it to them to fix.

I gotta say it came back like brand new. New case, straps, leads, the lot. The only thing that wasn't new was the battery cover. Brilliant service.

How much though? £50?

£250?

I could get the mft for around £100. I'm thinking if it costs me £150 to repair still a good deal, even better if it's the batteries. Might just go for it, he who dares rodders....
