Just a quickie, would you put compression glands on FP cables entering flushed ko boxes,or even round fast fix recess boxes,in ceiling.
Yes I would, but I have seen FP just poked in through the entry hole with no apparent trouble, but as a tradesman I would always use glands where possible. Hope this helps.

Don't look very pretty, just thinking the cables are in solid containment so forget about glands in this instance

If it's chased in and going to be held solidly in place by plaster then no I wouldn't as the gland won't be doing anything.
If it's a stud wall or a ceiling where the cable enters a plasterboard box then I would use the gland as it mechanically supports the cable.
If it's a steel conduit installation then I'm not sure where you'd even put a gland?

Cheers thanks for all advice, agree on the 1st fix stage,I also wouldn't bother with glands.
Like you say,so long as the cables held in position, everything fine.
