Sorry firstly for being in the wrong section but i need to try and find this info for tomorrow, so dont have time to wait for acceptance to the locked section.
Fitting a galaxy alarm for someone, but to carry on i need to know about using powered rio's theve just given me a no. to ring and wait for response back, and another for an engineer who doesn't answer so i thought i'd try here.
So are there set distances as to when and where a powered rio should be used over an ordinary one along the bus cable. I dont want to be fitting extra supplies if not needed , so need this info to pick routes to, continue first fix
Cheers

Your rio can be fitted anywhere on the data bus. After fitting power up the system and enter engineer mode. Silence the alarm condition with the customer code and then leave engineer mode ( code and escape) the system should then detect the added module and it will be accessable from the engineering menu. Do make sure that all items on the bus have a diffrent number ( its the rotary switch on the rio )

If you are not sure then please read the installation manual, its all in there... ( bus can be up to 1000meters useing beldon cable )
