Hi

Joined the forum for advice and to learn a few things.

I was doing an apprenticeship having completed my c&G 2365 L2 and 3. Unfortunately the company went under and I couldn't complete it. Worse thing was i only had a few months to go and was about to prepare for the AM2 exams.

Spent last 18 months working as labourer and general dogs body for a family friend who is a plumber and general builder.

Looking to start up on my own now, intend to start small on domestic stuff as that is what i was doing for over 2 years on my apprenticeship. Over time gradually build up to more complex stuff, after all the learning never stops.

Have spoken to the folks at Elecsa who have said registration shouldn't be a problem as i can use the work i have done the last 18 months as evidence and do a couple of notifiable jobs just before the assessment visit. They also have said i can use my NVQ portfolio as evidence.

Any advice is always welcome
