Thanks to a head injury sustained a couple of years ago, I have developed vertigo and unable to get more than 10/15 ft off the ground without feeling sea sick and needed to ask advice about suitable jobs?! I've worked as an electrical improver for 10yrs on and off and have also done a bit of data work in the past, wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to anything I could specialise in that doesn't involve heights? Was interested in following the data type route with a bit of electrics thrown in at some level? Any suggestions? Many thanks

Sorry to hear about your injury, you could get into PAT testing or calibration work, obviously you will have to do a bit ofschooling if you want to go down calibration route

With domestic electrics I rarely find I have to climb a ladder above 15ft. The majority (perhaps 70%) of the work is indoors and of the outdoor work most flood lights are under 15ft.

Of course you could use this as an opportunity to look at retraining in a completely different line of work.

Good luck to you.
