Hi,
Robbie saying hello. Been in the electrical game since 1977. Started with the MOD, PSA and now an electrical engineer for a charity. Cosy job now but seemed to be much more fun with Phantom F4's and A10 Tank buster's flying over head during the cold war.

Regards to all

Rob

Hi Rob I worked for DOE/PSA from 73 till I transfered to FCO in89 RAF Colerne was my first Base C130s

Hi! You are a bit more experienced than me then. RAF Colerne is down south?
I was at the twin bases at Woodbridge and Bentwaters or Cripple creek as it was known locally.
There must be loads of us out there although time is moving on. They were certainly good times for me. Still got me PSA pension to claim as yet!

Oh Yes! I have an uncle who worked in the engine test shop. One of his cleaner comments was that a London Bus would fly with a J 79 engine strapped to it....

My fav plane that flying brick :)
Welcome LDM !
Thanks and yes it was quite impressive. I did have a drag chute for some years, it came from the Navy version I guess, but my mum threw it out because it smelt of diesel. Engine flight tests seemed to be straight up at the end of the runway. Had to be within the confines of the perimeter fence I think. Was quite a sight and sound

welcome, I was in the RAF
