I just finished my Lev 3 Electrical installation studies and looking to work into this. I will need some more practice first I know. Glad about this forum. Hope to learn a lot of things here.
I bought an MFT 1502/2 Megger tester. Does it need calibration?
Cheers. Cristian

welcome to the asylum. as for the MFT, good choice. you could save a few bob by just comparing it with a mate's calibrated unit, test at a particular socket/ whatever and compare readings. make sure you test using both the plug in lead and the 4mm leads.

Yes of course it needs calibration, along with a calibration certificate, if you are intending to join one of the CP Schemes then calibration is one of the prerequisites of joining.
