Hiya guys, looking for a bit of advice, I went to carry out an eicr Friday and it's a tns system but I'm getting 87 ohms I took the clamp off and cleaned it up gave it a good tightening but still no difference, any idea what I can do now??

The first thing to do is thank your lucky stars you didn't damage the PILC cable by giving the clamp a good tightening!
Inform the DNO and get them out to fix the situation, I wouldn't mention that you've been interfering with it though, they might take exception!
I assume it is a proper lead clamp and not a pipe clamp?

Ring dno i had same situation on my assesment the dno charged 60 quid for a new isolator and make into a pme system. in the meantime i made temp tt system got it down to 42 ohms good for one rod.

Right guys my mistake, I MEANT. That I tightened the bolt that connected the 10mm Earth to the clamp as it was a bit loose, but I cleaned up the surface of the bolt, no need to be a bunch of arse holes, it was a bit of advice I needed, it must be amazing to know everything and never have to ask for advice, that's what I thought this site was about, and mate don't call me stupid you muppet, as for the guys who answered without cocky attitudes THANKYOU FOR YOUR ADVICE

You will not get far with an attitude like that to be honest.

ATTITUDE!!! I think I have the right to stick up for myself, it was an honest enough question, I don't appreciate the mocking mate, everybody needs a bit of help sometimes, I hope one day you will be subject to this see what your reply would be, there's no need of it
