Hello

I have a Main combi Eco 25 (without timer) I would like some advice to connect it to my HIVE single channel receiver.

I have included I photo of the boilers wiring diagram.

My hive receiver is single channel and has these conections.

N
L
1 Common
2 Heating off
3 Heating on
4 (unused)

I realise I have to connect N & L to the live and neutral on the boiler it’s the rest im not sure about.

Thanks

Scott

230V live out to common on receiver and heating on to switched live in.
As Lee says above. Many boilers do not like the raw 230v being returned to call for heat.

To clarify:
OP Remove the link coloured yellow on the diagram.
You need a wire from terminal 2 on the boiler (230 out) to connect to terminal 1 on the HIVE.
Also a wire from from terminal 1 on the boiler (switched live in) to connect to terminal 4 on the HIVE.

You may need to run a separate bit of T&E for this, dont forget to connect up the earth at both ends!

Terminal 3 not 4 as the OP says terminal 3 is heating on.

Thanks for the advice. Below is what I believe your saying

Remove yellow link wire from terminal 1 & 2 on boiler then wire as below.

Boiler: HIVE:
Switched line in ----------- Terminal 3 heating on
230v Live out ----------- Terminal 1 Common
Earth ----------- Earth tether on back plate
Neutral ------------ N (Permanent Neutral)
Live ------------ L (Permanent Live)

Also I don’t understand what is meant by “You may need to run a separate bit of T&E”

Yes correct opn the connections

To connect one to the other you would need 4 core and and earth cable. That's not so common, So I guessed you may need to run two lengths of 2core & Earth cable. Hence the "separate bit" comment.

Thanks everyone
I've Just installed it now. I used two lengths of T&E because I couldn't find anywhere that sells 5 core flex.
I have also got the app running to.
