Good video, reminds me never to install bare cable onto tinder woods lol (only joking). Well, this is how household lighting was installed in 1882 and loads of fires started. Then someone came up with the 1st ed of the Regs

Gutted I just bought some Wagos. I could got the soldering iron out and saved a few quid.

That vid is both concerning and reassuring at the same time.
 
I wonder what the dark mark along the piece of wood before its turned on is? And the obvious groove from d to end of the wood before it chars?
Methinks I wouldn't get the same result if I repeated that experiment with a normal bit of wood!
