Discuss Led bathroom mirror won't turn off !! in the Lighting Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Have you tried removing the electric supply completely then turning on again? This has worked for me before. These proximity switches are available online from various suppliers, as Richard has said it is a case of getting the right physical size to fit the hole in the panel.
It may seem obvious but always isolate the light panel completely before doing any work on it.

Have you tried turning it off and then giving it a good clean, and then leaving it to dry out. Could just be that the sensor is dirty or damp from the condensation.

The vanity unit I installed in my bathroom, its sensor switch failed after a year. Just replace it as Richard suggested.

Do operate safe isolation though. :)

PS, I take it, it's (the sensor switch) not installed facing the wall?

I have not done any of the above but will do and find a replacement switch hopefully that solves the trouble.

I don't know about the sensor switch.

If you look at the replacement Richard suggested (mines exactly the same), you'll see that the actual sensor is a small black knob, about the size of a 5 pence piece. It's normally located underneath the unit, but sometimes they are located on the side. It has to be located about 50mm away from any objects (i.e. wall).

If its not a sensor switch, you might find a normal rocker switch, normally covered in some sort of plastic cover.
