It's a mindfield trying to find qualify LED G9's

We have 2 light fittings with 5 g9's in each and they are the last fittings in our home which isn't LED.

They are currently operates via a wall dimmer so it seems I'll probably encounter some issues there.

Do any of you have any suggestions? Any LED's you'd recommend? I think the higher the lumens the better as ultimately I want to control them via dimmer anyhow

Thanks

G9 led are realy ugly hope they are inside some sort of shade. sorry I carnt give a suggestion for a bulb (sorry pete999 a lamp) andyes you will need a dimmer compatible with leds

You will find that most G9 LEDs are dimmer than the halogen ones.
If you have 40 or 60W G9 then you will not be able to get similar brightness.
20W G9 may be just doable.
The space available is also key as a lot of light fittings only take the space of the capsule and LEDs are usually (if you get the right lumens) much longer in the body.
The 2W G9s tend to be similar to indicator lamps
The silicone coated ones linked to above seem to be OK and at least fit the width but are not all that bright.

Currently have two, five lamp fittings running Megaman 2w G9 LEDs.
Had been using 20w halogens before.
Working well for us but don't have dimmers so can't comment on that aspect.
