I disagree.

I think a volt stick is useful as an indication.
but it can't replace a contact tester.
even these aren't trusted as we buy proving units

Iif you find something dangerous and want to take a photo showing something was left live and dangerous

volt sticks can be a usefull indication but thread is about mains testing screwdrivers with the metal tip

I'd bin both just to be SAFE lol, had bad experiences with both of them.

Volt sticks are brilliant for showing up dropped neutrals, they dont need a complete circuit like conventional testers
