Just recently bought a Megger MFT1730. It comes up with a "EER 76" message when switched on. It eventually clears after switching on & off several times an allows testing to proceed. The batteries are fully charged. Any ideas?

Assuming it is ERR76, have you tried doing anything else while it is that condition to clear the error, from the manual it seems to be invalid combination of rotary switches, so are the rotary switches working and does the error clear when you change them?

Check all fuses if not may be internal error on the board we had a megger mft ended up back at megger on warranty can't remember code but kept blowing fuses daily

Thank you for you reply Richard, the error message remains the same irrespective of the switch(es) combination. I've contacted Megger, they've advised me to return the unit to the supplier but couldn't confirm what the error message meant.

Thank you for your reply Dizzy, have checked both fuses & batteries, error message still remains. I've contacted Megger, they've advised me to return the unit to the supplier but couldn't confirm what the error message meant.
