Megger repair?

Hi guys,

does anyone know of a company that repairs megger multi testers in dorset.?

Would be good if they are cheap and don't keep my tester for 4 weeks!

Phone wilts in yeovil, they deal with repair bloke, believe hes based in yeovil as well and pretty good value.

They calibrate mine every year for £45, and the one repair they did for me which I believe they had to replace some parts, was only £70 odd! Never had a £300 bill!

My mate got a quote from a company in Poole who send it to megger and they quoted £180+vat and they will have it for 4 weeks!

Probably not approved by Megger, so the timescale is long. Send it to Megger direct if the firm wants to anyway.

Have any of you guys had any luck with repairing them yourselves? Can you buy spare parts? Maybe worth your time to search online for the error code your getting could be something silly like blown fuse or dry solder joint.....providing you test using a check box after to make sure it's given accurate results.
