Good point @telectrix re the future accessibility for earth leakage checking. The only bit of neatness in me said 'come in from the back then it'll be a good looking install' but you've got to think a bit wider!

Well to be honest thats all i was thinking, how neat it would look!!

Well I'd bring the whole lot in from the back for neatness, the tails in Tel's scenario could always be clamped in the meter box if ever required. A nice piece of ply mounted on 1" battens is what I often fit.
