Dirty, agree but 10 is better than 8 IMHO and I think there trying to cover up W8 cos it was that bad that they even offered W10 for free, I think it cost them that much time in sorting out all the issues that came with W8 that they just want as many to walk into the light as possible ...my opinion anyway.

They've been having a massive push to upgrade everyone to their latest version of windows and it's obviously for their benefit, not the customer, so now there's going to be a lot of poor people out there who's printers or other hardware no longer works not to mention programs. Thankfully I still have XP on most of my PC's and laptops because many of the programs I run aren't compatible with later versions and I'll upgrade only when it suits me, not them.

I think the push for this upgrade was because they were left behind with galaxy and I-phone apps and windows was missing out on a massive market while all the laptop, computer use say a rapid fall due to tech' in mobile phones to access the internet, that and W8 was swamped with problems and so many were going back to W7

Windows 10 is spying on people. They harvest your personal data, what you type, websites you visit and programs you use and sent them back to microsoft servers. They sell it to advertising companies or do some other nasty stuff with it. Thats why they offer it for free.

Since they killed windows xp i moved all my computers to lubuntu, a lightweight version of linux. Runs out of the box, is happy on older hardware. No virus and malware problems.

I use Linux based operating systems on all my non-work devices that are for private use, not business. Ubuntu is great and I also use Tails on my home laptop for privacy. Unfortunately for work, the programs I use work best on Windows.
