I been asked by a customer to install a heat mat. The problem I have is I can only connect to the 32a ring. I've noticed a few connections made in connectors and tapped up.
also there consumer unit is under the stairs which has a sink and toilet. The head is under the sink which was once boxes in but isn't now. My question is Should I just note this on the cert or steer clear. Thanks

underfloor heating mat as opposed to off the roll element

It's a mirror heating pad to stop your bathroom mirror steaming up

Well actually to be strictly correct heat mat is a company that makes them, along with underfloor heating systems, pipe trace heating and suchlike.

Are you sure? I've read the OP several times!

Cliffy your post is a bit garbled, very hard to understand, I assume you mean the CU is under the stairs, which was once boxed in, but the box has been removed and there is a bog and sink in there

Yes sorry about that typing off an iPhone. The cu is under the stairs. It's has been converted into a small toilet in the past. The cu is assessable and a meter from sink. the main head is under the sink and was once boxed in but isn't now.

I can connect into the rfc, what im getting at are the lack of junction boxes ( connectors wrapped in insulation tape). Do I write this done on the minor works notes as needing improving. Same as the head under a sink?

A toilet and a hand basin under the stairs wouldn't constitute a special location and bathroom zones wouldn't apply as far as I know....

allow forrepairing the connections with maintenance free wagos and wagoboxes or line enclosures, test the rfcthen connect your ufh to rfc via a FCU.

Where are the taped joints?
