Discuss Multi-Gang Intermediate Switches in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

I need to convert a landing light so that it can be switched from four locations (from the current two), so I'll need some intermediate switches. However, the new locations already have switches for other lights so that means that multi-gang switches will ideally be needed. I will definitely need a two-gang and possibly a three-gang. Is anyone aware of any manufacturer that produces standard white two or three-gang intermediates? I'm trying to keep the cost down so avoiding modular switches if I can.

Any suggestions gratefully received as I think I may be looking for hen's teeth! :sad3:

click mode. they do switches with interchangeable modules. i recently done a job with 2 gang switches, one gang replaced modules for keyswitches for EM's. check if they do an intermediate module.

I was trying to avoid using a modular solution to keep down the costs. It's an "Out of the Box" multi-gang intermediate that I'm looking for. It seems almost everyone does a single-gang!

check the clickmode prices. a lot less than grid switches.

I use Hager sollysta. Their plate switches are composed of removable modules so are changeable to any configuration you want.

Not as flexible as the click range, but will do you for this solution.

I have bought standard 2-gang intermediate switches from TLC Direct (e.g. Contactum).

For a 3-gang, you'll probably need to use a modular type (I tried and failed to locate a suitable standard one recently), or put in two separate switches (a 1-gang and a 2-gang).

The hager sollysta 3g plate switch is a single module. the 1g and 2g are interchangeable modules.
