Just a quick one what's the cost of approved contractor with napit and what's your thoughts experiences with them thanks in advance

I don't know the costs but I worked for a company who joined NAPIT when they first got up and running, we found them to be hopeless and often thought as the poor relation to the NICEIC and ECA. Like I say that was a long time ago and things may have changed. Anyone got more recent experience?

I pay approx 500 quid a year including Trustmark registration. They don't have approved contractor and DI as per niceic, although on the specialisms you can tick domestic, commercial, industrial, etc, etc as necessary depending on your experience and knowledge. I am pretty certain that the £500 covers whichever areas you are competent to work in. And you don't have to pay more for carrying out EICRs as you do or did with niceic.

You then obviously have your insurances on top of that.

My assessor is spot on. Nice bloke and never had any issues with him or with NAPIT.

Council, Schools insurance companies & big contracts used to insist on NICEIC or ECA now all have added and accept Napit and some Elecsa. I didn't think Elecsa covered commercial but things have obviously changed.

We're NICEIC AC but seriously thinking of jacking them in, all they want is £££££££ Premium rate phone numbers, arrogance, price increases (allegedly to pay for £4m in advertising, except no advertising done by NICEIC in East Anglia in 2015 or 2016),

Was thinking of phoning Napit...... I think I will now... Job for Monday
