Not that I've worn them, :shocked3: but I have heard that too.:)
Loads of lads on the pumps used to wear them in the winter.
Mind up here that is most of the time. :)

You will definitely need a set of padded overalls for the freezer, but the company usually supply's them, as for chill you generally just need a set of warm clothes and most definitely a hat
are you maintaining the the food equipment or the fridge plant itself?

Don't laugh but I've heard that womens tights are supposed to be good don't know how true it i

Yeah it's true. I found out that half the brickies on a site were wearing them one winter ! Not daft they weren't though, I tried it and those buggers keep you toasty warm under your work trousers.

I've upgraded to full length merino wool base layers now though for cold work and for winter bike rides and such. Now those are great but not as sexy as tights obviously. ;)

I agree if you need one of those padded suits I have seen worn before, it is classed as PPE and should be provided. Sounds like a conscientious firm you are working for though so they should be alright

Shank. If your working on the controls, the freezer/blast freezer will not be working. If it is (as above) you will/should be provided with PPE. If not, take shorts and Tee-shirt lol. It gets a bit warm when they are not turned on

Well done, good luck and tell us how it goes.

i don't think they work just on the cold rooms controls. even turned off i recon it will still be cold in there. (this work isn't during shutdowns)

to be honest im looking forward to it, its different to the type of work im used to
