If you are not in training then you can just ask in the diy section of the forum open to all.
Cable size is dependant on load, cable length, installation method, protective device size, means of earthing and cable type.

You need to provide some details of your experience ,training that you can input into your profile, the consideration as to whether you can be granted access into the trainee area, good luck.

2330 level 2/3 + 17th edition completed however 4 years back. Course was completed at Derby college roundhouse. 17th edition at bolsover college.

I'm able to install motorised satellite dish. Fairly knowledgeable in the satellite field.

Competant hand at networking, Poe systems, CCTV.

I'm looking for on site training. Happily fund course fees myself. I'm going to enroll on to a course next month.

The trainee forum is there to be a safe place for people enrolled on training courses to ask any level of question they like.
This is to help those on courses.
Unfortunately if you are not on a course at the moment you would not be able to join that section. However you can ask questions in general areas of the forum and once you are enrolled on a suitable course go to the apply to gain access area and fill in your details, the moderators will then grant access if you are on a valid course.

Welcome Zane follow this link if you wish to access the Trainee section.

Hi all i probie here. Been at college one night a week for a year, have one year left at level 2 and then i am on to level 3. I have just got a job as a sparkies mate for fischer future heat. only been there 2 weeks and not sure what i am going to learn yet as all i seem to do is fetch and carry from the van. I dont mind this as long as i am given the chance to learn too. Ideally i would prefere a role with a company/sparkie where i get to practice my skills on the job. Anyway i am sure something will come up. I look forward to chatting to you all.
Good luck Matthew. I suspect that after level 1 fetch and carry you’ll have to pass level 2 tea making ;)

Could someone please point me in the right direction for the trainee access as all the links seem to be dead. TIA.

Hi Milo,
Are you a trainee and trying to get access, if so, here's the link.

On e in there create a thread requesting access and fill in all relevant information.
