Hi peeps, anyone out there had deadlocks fitted to the lower part of the side sliding door of a Vivaro panel van (2009-14 model)?
I've just had this work done, and I'm unhappy with the finished product on the side door. Sure it locks, but the cylinder sits on a slant (the back door lock is perfectly flush). The installing co state that this is the best fit which can be achieved on the Vivaro, but I'm sure I've seen examples where the lock cylinder sits perfectly flush. I've attached a picture FYI. Or, am I being OCD????.
Sorry, photo has loaded side on!

I've noticed whilst looking at vans that I can't afford - they mostly all are fitted like this due to the shape of the surface on the inside of the door - go to a big secondhand van place and it'll put your mind at rest

Just had deadlocks fitted to my caddy, looks similar to mine angle wise. Although mine petrude the escutcheon more. if your van door lining isnt perfectly flat they cant do much about it. Id say move on and dont let it bother you.

Guys, thanks for the feedback. Looks like this is indeed a feature related to the angle of the lockset/door jamb. I had just never seen/noticed this on other vans!
If we fitted sockets in a customer's house that looked as wonky, we'd get dogs abuse!!!
I'm cool:cool4:
