I was reorganising our stores the other day and came across a number of old / discontinued single pole and triple pole circuit breakers. They include:

Federal Electric / Stablock
Dorman Smith
Wylex
Crabtree
MEM

On many occasions I've been asked to install new circuits in old industrial units with ancient distribution boards, and struggled to find an appropriate circuit breaker. I've been ripped off by 'specialist' stockists, so if you need any of the above, send me a PM and I will see if I've got something that will help you out.

a member was after a federal MCB last week. can't remember who it was.

To be honest, keep them. It’s OK selling things off and then living to regretting it later on. They take up a bit of store space but when your stuck you’ll be glad you kept them.

I got in trouble with the accountants at a major company for the stuff I’d got squirreled away. Was told to get it all scrapped. All I did was move it in to a disused substation and locked the door. Funny how many times I was asked if I knew where to get…… I talking the engineering manager, he’s playing merry hell about the cost of some 600A copper bus bar he needed for a job. Took me ½ an hour to return to the office with 12 foot of it tied to the back of the Land Rover.
