Phone/ Internet problem

Hello,

Please could someone help me please.

I have recently installed a couple of external cat5 cables to a garden office. One cable to run internet data from a modem/ router in the house. The other for a phone.

I connected up the internet connection using a couple of rj-45 sockets. All works fine.

I connected a phone slave plug in the office coming from the master socket in the house. This works fine.

What I realised then though was that when I made a call on the phone the internet drops out.

The Bt master plug in the house has a phone and filter going to the modem.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening and any solutions? Hope I have described this ok.

Have you got a filter on the phone in the shed,all extensions need an ADSL filter

No I have not put a filter on. Would that make the internet drop out?

yes it would unless your master has an NTE2005 filter plugged into it
