I think its that flexible type conduit that can bend very easily. Looks a bit like a vacuum cleaner hose but much smaller. As i said.. "I think" :)
 
pliable relates to all plastic conduit as well as flexible. in as much as it will bend. whereas steel is rigid.
 
Flexible pipe - bends and flaps around with no effort.
Pliable corrugated metal pipe - can be bent by hand and retains its shape.
Rigid metal or plastic pipe - requires forming in some way.
