Hi all,

My sister has bought an oven and has asked me to connect it when it gets delivered. She has a 6mm cable protected by a 32A mcb so I told her not to get anything higher than 7.2kW.
I've checked out the oven online and it only gives energy consumption of 0.79kWh.
From that information is there anyway of working out how many amps the oven will draw at maximum usage?
I don't think ohms law is the answer, please shed some light.

Thanks

Ohmigod more like.
Either this is a wind up or someone has "forgotten" something very basic
Wattage/voltage = ?
You then do something else with the result

a 6.0mm cable on a 32A MCB will handle any cooker up to 15kW.

Diversity Diversity, Get your on site guide out page 110 or alternatively don't give up the day job, whatever that may be!
