Not done this for a while. What's the going rate per point. standard metal clad sockets, spurs and switches. Light fittings budget fluorescent. Runs aren't long. We are sub for main contractor in SE.
Any help appreciated. Thanks

TBH, I don't think there is such a thing anymore as a 'going rate'. You need to do it the hard way and cost up materials, add up labour time and then make a judgement call on your profit margins.

All of the above, divided by the number of points, will then give you what you're asking for - but it'll be different to anyone else's!

It would very much depend on a number of things....

Who's supplying materials?
How complex is the containment?
How quick are you going to be - e.g. how adept are you with galv conduit?

Who's covering the cost of consumables like drill bits and fixings etc.

Normally, for any point price, we'd expect the point price to include: Cable, fixings, containment, installation of terminated device, termination at DB or panel. We would supply terminated device - e.g. spur, light fitting, whatever.

So, if you're doing it by point, those are things you've got to consider, so your point price will reflect that. It may be better for you not to work on a point price, and instead offer a price for the job. Work out what you're supplying, and you time and charge accordingly.

Accord, we will supply what you mention. I have worked out price of materials and labour based on time it will take. Plus fuel, drill bits etc etc. Just was interested to see if i was in the right ball park. This one could lead to quite a bit more so keen to get it right. Thanks for your comments very useful.
