morning morning

been asked to install some wireless rako switches

existing wiring/lights switches at the minute- and the guys wants minimal re-wiring holes etc

am I right in thinking:

stick 1 of these at the begining of each SF zone:RMT500 | Rako - https://www.rakocontrols.com/rmt500/

Then where the current old switches are- take the switch plate off- join the perm and sl in a wago- and have the wireless rako switch over it (making it accessible)
RCM-070 | Rako - https://www.rakocontrols.com/rcm070/

in the bedroom- he wants some 2way switching- is this managable with having 2x wireless switches 2way?

cheers guys (never touched the stuff before!)

the bedroom rako is just 2 switches as you said not 2 way though, just 2 switches . you also of course have the option of smartphone switching as well as wall plates with that setup

we fitted some in some very large houses in Ascot the AV contractor got someone into do two of the houses one was wired switching version I think it used 2 cores the other was wireless and we joined the live and switch wires together (we had wired the switches) both had the dimmer above 1st downlight in this case I suppose it would be a good idea to give them a call.

The wireless stuff is addressed using the dip switches and binary. Expensive way of dimming a light if he doesn't have multiple circuits in the same room to set different scenes.
for 1bed aparthotel in chelsea.....guy wants it becuase he has them in his house.
Literally consist of like 5x dl and 2 or 3 fan/lights

Well if the customer wants this fitted and is willing to pay for it who are we to criticise .

Not without a Bridge they wont.

you have one bridge for the whole house, but you have to have that for any of the rako to work anyway, by phone .

OP didn't mention them having a bridge, in your response to that you said they could also have 'smartphone switching' with that setup, which isn't possible with the setup explained.

I only highlighted they would need a bridge for that, as it isn't possible without it.
