hi just left a job where a spark has had the money for a rewire and not supplied a cert and there is a fault when the sockets in the house have any thing plugged in it trips the rcd on the other side of the board I have tried ir on the kitchen ring and its good back there inda morning but any info would be good

Re the RCD trip - suggest they get a competent spark?

Re the cert AND notification - they need to contact the spark - by writing. I'm assuming they know where he lives, and if hes a scheme member they should contact the scheme.

Start at basics. Make sure there isnt a neutral from one side of the board connected to the other sides neutral bar. It happens.
Failing that completely remove the circuit from the db and check for N-E fault.
Does it trip only when load is applied to that circuit? No others?

That neutral bar is for any rcbo's you might want to use. Ie for fridge/freezers etc.
Rogue neutrals are a real pain these days, and changing a db used to be oh so easy....... Not any more!
