Hi all, new member here so be easy on me.

I'm looking to replace me existing ceiling rose pendant fitting in my bathroom with a short (700mm length) of track lighting, 2no. spotlights to be used. I've bought the new items from Ikea, a power connector, track, and the spots (Ikeas365+ Sanda). Seemed all pretty straight forward until I removed the ceiling rose cover to find a spaghetti junction of wires, they probably all have their purposes but without expert training I've decided to get some advice. The additional wiring apart from the standard supply in the rose relates to the isolator switch for the extractor fan, I believe. I initially thought that the blue and brown wire leading to the existing lamp could be disconnected and simply feed into the appropriate Neutral & Live of the Ikea power connector, but no success. (Don't worry everything was switched off at the junction box prior to any investigation). I am not an electrican, so any advice needs to be reasonably straight forward.

Thanks

What does the Ikea packaging state about the suitability of use for a bathroom?
