Discuss Robin MF tester wanted in the For Sale and Wanted Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Long shot I know, I'm after a robin 1630 multifunction tester, using one at college, getting on really well with it. Or does anyone know of one for sale somewhere else:D

Many thanks

Steve

Robin are now part of Fluke. They rebranded the Robin stuff as Kewtech. I had the Robin 1620, it is now known as the Kewtech KT62. My guess is that they will do a version of the Robin 1630. Try ebay for a used one or failing that do a search for 17th edition test equipment as there are a few online traders.

Cheers........Howard;)

PS i can understand why you like the kit, well made and very easy to use.

Cheers Howard, tried the Megger's, tried Mettrels (sp) just cant get on with them.
I really like using the Kewtech KT 62 aswell, but the old robin wins for me, and it does the Earth electrode too:D
I wonder if Kewtech's KT65 is Robins 1630 mmmmmm?

Been given the chance to grab myself said tester, complete with leads, carry case, instuction manual and earth probes.
Just wondering what ball park figure for one of these would be. It has ran out of it's calibration cert.
Thanks

Steve

Whilst you are right in that Kewtech is the old Robin test equipment it was not rebranded by Fluke but the old Robin management buying the rights to Robins old style test equipment and selling them under the name of Kewtech.

Tricky one Steve,

Have a look at the ended listings on the bay.

That should give you some idea!

Cheers Jason, spoke to one of the tech's at college today, he said to be carefull as the reason for selling might be that there is an internal fault with the tester and that would cost £'s to put right, probably more than the tester is worth. As it was, I missed the end of the auction and it went for £146.
