SCR dimmers/light modulator

I've got some new LED slimline downlight panels that are supposedly dimmable but need SCR dimmers/light modulator and not a PMW dimmers/light modulator. From the badly translated instructions.

I don't get too involved with lighting and the only SCR dimmers i know of are big ones. These three lights are 6w each.

Surprisingly my local wholesalers have no idea either, can anyone please advise what i need?

I expect 'PMW' should read 'PWM' = Pulse Width Modulation, the normal method of dimming DC. While an SCR dimmer (which would officially have two separate thyristors / SCRs instead of one triac but the effect is the same) is a phase angle dimmer for AC. So my reading would be 'Use an AC phase angle dimmer, not a DC PWM dimmer'. Reference to SCRs might also mean they expect a leading-edge dimmer as all SCRs are inherently leading-edge.

you could always fit a resistor if you are really struggling to find one small enough

I'd go with Lucien, probably referring to a leading edge dimmer being required.
