Discuss Sh*tty customers video on fb in the Electricians Chat - Off Topic Chat area at ElectriciansForums.net

Ah, the old classic "Let me shaft you on this job and I'll have heaps more you can get underpaid on too"
It still makes me laugh that folks don't understand this concept. I worked on a contract (not my doing) where Customer said what was to be done and what would be paid, and we could not say "no thanks I'm busy all month" I did comment to em that I thought slavery was outlawed ... they didn't see the funny side.

I went and did a simple quote this morning for an outside light, which I said I would email in due course. Did it today, cos it was more convenient for me. Since I left, the bloke has rung me three times, and doesn't leave a message.

Don't they realise, we electricians need some quality time off, hunting for Easter Eggs :)

The ones that get to me the most are the ones that get you in for A,B & C, then try getting more work done when you're there, using the excuse, I didn't want to scare you away, if I gave you the full list.

I just tell them, payment for ABC and give me a full list and I'll be back in another 2-3 weeks to do the rest. I can't do it until then as I'm fully booked.

My other pet peeve is the ones who get offered a date 2-3 weeks down the line, decline it due to needing it done yesterday. Then ring back a week later and are shocked to hear that date has gone and they looking at 2-3 weeks from the date of second phone call lol
