Can anyone recommend a good socket adaptor for doing r1+r2 readings etc? I bought a kewtech one but it doesn't work with my megger 1720 leads unless you wiggle them about and even then it's unreliable!

it's the megger leads that's the problem. buy a set of kewtec leads.

I found the opposite. Was finding that when I moved the leads where they entered my 1730, the readings would change very slightly. This resulted in having to constantly null the damn thing. Megger replaced them with the newest leads and it's fantastic now.
could that not be because your old leads were worn? it annoys me that with the new leads you cannot pull off the croc clip and use the probe, as you have to pull the croc clip off and then go and get the probe bit and stick that on. and they don't work with lightmates, R2 lads or socket adapters. what was wrong with the old ones...
