Hello,

I need a CCTV system that is completely wireless and would like to solar power it all. I have my eyes on a suitable camera with internal storage, so I will not need a separate recording device. However, the camera is powered by an ethernet cable. Is there any way I can solar power this? If so, what kind of solar panel would I need?

Power for the camera:
Power over Ethernet IEEE 802.3af/802.3at Type 1 Class 3
max 3.7 W

Alternatively, I could use a camera with a DVR, but this would mean solar powering this too. I have been told it might not be possible to solar power a DVR because they use a lot of power. Can anybody offer any advice on this?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
