Agreed a job to change half a dozen internal light fitting and one external light fitting,turned up this morning, was told the house had been fully rewired 6 months ago by one of them part p electricians..so i had a poke around as u do....001.jpg005.jpg007.jpg008.jpg019.jpg022.jpg024.jpg025.jpg
 
Yeah didnt find out the cost,but the old chap is about 90 if hes a day,in really bad health, and his carers(family) went on holiday while the work was been carried out,so he was home alone with these cowboys!!
 
If you could see the expression on my face.... Picture with the light, is that twisted and insulation tape ? What plumber done this then... *sighs*... Pathetic they take advantage of less able...
 
The guy who carried this lot out trades a few miles from myself and is NICEIC domestic installer and approved contractor,(i checked the register cos i couldnt beleive it!!) left no paper work etc..i only hope he reads this forum,he might go back and finish it off :innocent:.....
 
they don't get much shoddier than that. it looks like they haven't rewired the shower - thankfully. although i think i'd check to make sure they haven't stuck a 10.5kw in.

That's a DIY job at best, how can you walk away from that! I'm glad I'm not registered with anyone, I'd hate to be tarred with the same brush, what does it say about registration?

When I'm resurrected, I want to be a cat. It's embarrassing being a human sometimes.

The only good thing I could see was the routered slot above the meter.
 
This just shows how bad things are with all this part p s##t these schemes are just a money making joke ,ban these electrical trainee schemes and have like a jib card system with a phone number customers can call to check there qualifications with a unique PIN number .
