hi i have a customer whos rcd trips sporadically.
maybe twice per month
its been going on for 12 years!
customer has had enough.

1 ring down
2 ring up
3 cooker
4 shower
5 garage

no damp walls
no known damage to cables
no specific time of day

fridge is approx 12 years old

i know the normal tests
rcd ramp
rcd x1 x5 x.5 etc
r1 rn r2
ins resi

do you guys use any specific rcd tests to establish where the fault lies?

cheers in advance

Get an earth leakage clamp meter and test the appliances. I would start with that 12 year old fridge, it might have something to do with that 12 year old fault?

could always try a PAT on the fridge if e/l clamp meter not availabe.
