A customer has asked me to price a job for them so here is the scenario.

Old milking shed with a 10mm 3 core SWA supply that is to be converted to office/annex.

Client requires 2 x 16 amp socket circuits, 1 x immersion circuit and 1 x 6 amp lighting circuit.

SWA cable run is 15 M approx.

My calculations (if correct) say that the 10mm SWA will support a 50 amp supply and then applying diversity that the cable will support the demand of the above circuits, also I think but am not 100% sure that the 10mm cpc in the SWA will be adequate for bonding of oil and water supplies to the building (supply is tncs).

I would appreciate anyones views on this scenario.

don't think extending the tncs earthing system with such a small armoured would be up to scratch.as an annex
sepearte 10mm required for oil and gas at mains position would of thought a 25mm SWA supply would be required or make the milk shed a TT system..
i would measure the Ze to see what your up against.
