What do you do when making a SWA gland off

No thread so of no use as a locknut.

What do you by no thread? As in no thread on the inside of the nut? I've got a bag of them in my tool box and they are definitely threaded! Although i am now doubting who the manufacturer is :S i get them from cef anwyay.
 
nuts are threaded. the ones i use are made by SWA and have several grub screw positions .

Piranha nuts are threaded, and also have grub-screw positions on each flat (so 6 positions). The come with 1 Allen key screw to lock the nut in place, and 1 cross-head screw and washer to fix an earth lead.
