Hi Guys

My last tennant has installed a veritas alarm, the one with the DCA 0001 led remote keypad,
im having problems setting it up for the new tennants, basically they want zone 1,2,5 & 6 working as part set
for when they go to bed at night. The issue is they can omit the zones 3 & 4 but for some reason zone 5 & 6
wont work when being part set, however zones 5 & 6 work when full set.
What am i doing wrong?

Zone 1 is the kitchen
zone 2 living room
zone 3 is hall
zone 4 is stairwell
zone 5 is frontdoor contact
zone 6 is backdoor contact

reason why zone 5 is frontdoor and 6 is backdoor is because we decided to have them fitted recently.

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me, its so frustrating!

thanks guys

Does not matter what zone is covering what area, as every zone is programmable.
two zones setting in program 11-18 for full armed zone types and 21-28 for part arm settings. So for instance zone 1 can be e/e in full setting and guard in part setting. To omit a zone in part arm you then need to program part arm suites 51-52 showing zones to be armed and zones to be active. Note you cannot omit a e/e zone, so in part arm types they must be set to guard. Them set in part arm suites.....hope this helps

I normally I would leave e/e on zone1 door contacts or pir and rest on guard I most cases it will not confuse the customers when the alarm is set off.
This is the logical way to do it, but aslong as zones are listed its not an issue. e/e zones can only be contacts to terminate the delay on exit. Pir in hall would usually be inhibited zone to allow protection of door glass or panel. (SIA ruling)
