Thought I'd start this up again. We had one ages ago but thought it's time for a new one. If you've spotted another electrician on your travels, clock their business name, take a pic of their van (if safe to do so), or whatever, and we'll see if we can find their account on the forum! :)

You'd be surprised how many are on here.

There are over 150 electrical firms in my city. I probably see a dozen or more different sparkies vans in any given day.

Then get snapping. I bet you don't see a dozen whist it's safe to take a pic though! Else that's a lot of time spent sitting outside the chippy not actually driving? ha

Unless the van has some big busted beauty in it, I'll be keeping my camera in the ole sky rocket.

One of your better thread attempts @Dan - NOT!
(Although I had a minor thought of trying it out the other day but . . . Too weird!)

Let's revive it - take a picture of me in my Astra hatch - electric blue - unmarked undercover electricians mate! See if it makes Dan happy!

There's a sort of anonymity with user names and all. Why wouldn't trainees and electricians be members? but it isn't obvious to everyone. As long as it's useful to me and I spread the word about it then what more can you do.

LOL this hasn't quite gone as planned eh?

We do it on the other forums, guy spots a plumbers van on a site, takes a snap, says anybody know this guy? A week or so later, we find the guy is on the forum already and replies. They get chatting. Sometimes find some connections work wise, etc etc etc.

That's the kinda thing I was thinking.

With the tilers and the size of the tiles they're cutting these days, they need huge cutters, not everybody invests in them because they cost thousands and you'll use them once or twice a year. So through having things like this spotted thread, they've found local guys they know chat a lot to, and they will lend each other cutters and whatnot. So some good comes of it. It's not just for laughs at their number plates falling off and whatnot. Which also happens I admit.

Aussies they love there tukka. I'm not feeling the Irish theme with the shirt colours. Could be worse. Mechanical lads are orange and purple. They also love colour coding
