Trying again. Advice?

Hi,
My name is Johnathan I'm 23 years of age and I'm from Wigan. From 2011- 2013 I done CG PEO and my level 2 2330. How ever I couldn't find an aprentiship what so ever. Due to the recession at the time. So now I'm at a stage in my life where I need a trade and don't want to be working in an office. I have a full drivers license and I'm ready to rock and role and get trained up.

I feel that I may be too old but people have told me I'm not?.

I've applied for an apprentship in my area fingers crossed!

Can anyone give me some advice?

I don't know the rules on apprenticeships but 23 sounds pretty young to me!

Is the 2330 helpful? How long would it take for me to become qualified?

I applied for that one a couple of days ago. - Just getting food for thought. Would it help me with my 2330 or hinder me because they might want someone who is 16?

if i was you i'd go down the industrial side and contact local factories/chemical plants

Welcome to the forum! I'm no electrician but I'm sure you're not too old to start.

I didn't take up electricianing until I was 50. So (to me) you are a spring chicken, mate!

Also don't focus on becoming "qualified", as you'll still have plenty to learn when you gain your papers.
