According to some of the posts I have read here lately you need to cut the plug off and connect the flex into a flex outlet PMSL, it will work then :38:

Thanks for this, as I expected. Just contacted the manufacturer, and they are going to repair/replace.

To check for earth leakage, as this is a new appliance I would not do it on this occasion. You can make up a short extention lead say 30 cm with a 13 amp plug on the end, carefully take off some of the outer insulation and tease out the earth only so that you have loop sticking out. Connect a suitable clamp meter then run the item that you believe that is responsible for the RCD tripping, observe the
reading on disconnection.

i had a similar prob with a washing machine in a council house rewire once, the connection box at the bottom of the machine had a build up of insects inside, this tripped the new rcd after a while
i cleaned it out then everything was pefic

Empty the water out of the condenser haha, JK, have you tested the motor windings to earth?

WTF ?
take a new , under warranty appliance apart and start stripping the motor ?
way to go on voiding the manufacterers guarrantee lol.
