Discuss Wagos and ferrules in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

I would definitely not use ferrules in Wagos without their explicit approval. Screw terminals use medium clamping pressure over a large area, which will keep the ferrule in secure contact with the cable. Wagos use high pressure over a small area line contact, which is highly effective direct onto the conductor but I would not expect it to maintain gas-tight contact between ferrule and conductor. Also the lumpy exterior of a crimped ferrule might not make contact with the right parts of the Wago clamp.

Have you see that crazy PE post about Carbo e-paint. I thought was April Fools for a moment. Didn't want to say anything, think I might have already offended them, being so they are forum sponsors.
Was it one of us that posted the first letter about Part P - seemed to recognise the writing style (and anger)! It would be a hoot if it were a forum member!

I understand PE are is a forum sponsor (don't bite the hand that feeds you, and all that), but they do come out with some wacky things now and again, and this is one of them.

It's been a while since I've logged on. Update on the above. Previous installation was t&e in trunking and bit of a lash up really!
Additional sockets have been ran in conduit hence using singles. My bad I did state "flex" in the original question but have since been corrected.
10 points each for detective work and yes they did just push in.
Thanks all for advice,
Cheers and gone.
