Any one come across a waterproof IP65 or similar replacement for a standard 2way switch in a 35mm recessed back box?
Ive been looking around but have come up blank.
Its a finished and tiled internal wall, and furniture makes its unacceotable to have the added depth of a surface IP switch.

You know what, I went to a job the other week about swapping the CU, they have two switches above the shower, literally next to it in the cubicle, I know its madness.

Anyway, they were flush and I was thinking of what options there were to replace them with IP65 ones you cannot open.

I ended up walking away from the job for various other reasons though.

It wouldn't actually need to be IP65, just afford better protection than a standard switch.
Its actually in a commercial kitchen, although in a store/washing area.
The regs wouldn't actually call for it, it's just me, as I consider it's likely to be used with wet/damp hands, or maybe cleaned down during the cleaning process.
Difficult to explain, but surely someone makes such a thing

Could you not use a standard external switch but discard the back box? Drill and plug the 4 holes required to accept the face plate, assuming there is a recessed knockout box fitted this would still create an enclosure. Then a neat bead of clear silicone around the switch to seal it up good. It wouldn't look too nasty i don't think. Unless i am overlooking why this cannot be done.
