......just stop doing bloody certs. Following on from the current certs thread I'm sick to death of filling in reams and reams of poxy tick boxes and irrelevant information that no fecker apart from honest law abiding electricians ever look at. Eighty per cent of those in circulation are jackanory anyway.....at least those I come across are. If we all said f'kit we are doing them no more the world will keep on turning just the same.

I'm off to fill in a CU change EIC. I might make it up. I know I wont though. But then again...

The current EIC is a joke with all the tick boxes ....

There should be a short form EIC for single circuit additions

The coding on about 50% of EICR's can't be trusted

And the scams should state that MWC's are NOT required for accessory changes .... my last assessment discussed this ........... I stated I recorded the Zs on the invoice for accessory changes - this approach wasn't challenged.

The schedule of inspection for both the EIC and EICR have one purpose, check lists for people who are not competent to undertake the task in the first place.
I really like doing them but we use our own format with the minimum required information on the schedules not two pages, one which is not required like the NICEIC format.
