Hi guys Merry Christmas
I have an E Prance WIFI door bell system but the batteries hardly last a week, the bell takes 3 x AAA batteries,
Can I connect a mains to 4.5 volt DC transformer onto the bell without blowing the thing up.

Many thanks
Nick

should not be a problem if polarity is correct. my doorbell sounders last ages and they get rung a lot. they are cheapies from the big orange shed.

has it got terminals, looking on amazon I don't think it has ,just batteries terminals
if saw take of the fly leads off and put on the transformer .

I think you may need to look at why the batteries are discharging so quick before you connect up a transformer to it. I fitted one of these for my sister in law about six months ago and is still running from the batteries supplied with it. There should be no need to find an alternative power source.

A TRANSFORMER WILL NOT WORK AS THE BELL REQUIRES A d.c. SUPPLY..

OK> i njust saw transformer. never seen a d.c. one.

OP. buy one that plugs into a wall socket.
